I have a .25" top plate on the old model 6112(with 6 perches). Have it on 6/5 riding on 285/75/17s. Rides good IMO. I'm guessing my lift is @3.25". 40.5" ground to fender. In a few weeks I'm switching to a .5" top plate. You could probably do 2" lift on the 6112 and .5" plate for a true 3" lift. Would ride great! With a 3" lift you are going to need upper control arms and will likely have vibration that you'll be chasing. This is covered in the suspension forum here. If you're set on 33s (285/75/16) you're most likely going to rub on the cab mount.
