But that also causes fuckery on their end, and imo thats gonna get you a bigger chance of it getting lost. What you do is, once you get a tracking number, you can go to their site and change the shipping stuff. You should be able to select hold at fed ex facility for pickup.

I quote FedEx to Steam Store Support, as FedEx accepts full responsibility of the package as being lost and gave me a case number and told me to "contact the merchant." Valve gets back to me and says "they have reached to the warehouse and will update my ticket." This was more than 4 days ago.
