This is a cast receiver made by James River and looks to be cleanly milled and fits the stock tightly.I'm looking into getting an M1A/M14 with tax return season approaching. I've narrowed down my choices to a new production loaded M1A or a James River Armory M14. Both are about $1500. Id be mounting a scope and using it for recreational shooting and hunting. I wish I could find a nice SA heel and a TRW NM heel, or of course one engraved “XM-21”, but all I have are these 3 generic M14 heels, which I guess would suitable for JRA for a hybrid receiver. I bought 3 of them when they first came out, with custom serial numbers. I also helped some of my friends get theirs ordered with custom numbers as well.
