This is a Corvette Carb for 1967 300 and 350HP 327 Engines w/AIR. It has an original date code of 743, which decodes as 7=1967, 4=4th month or April, and 3=third week. The metering block number you gave is correct for it. It should have a base with a huge port on the right rear just under the secondary Vacuum Pod.

From everything I've read Holley dates through 1972 are 3 digits and 73 and later are 4-digits.
